When my husband went through a relapse in New Orleans years ago, I wasnt sure if I'd be able to feel at home in the city again. When your partner leaves recovery, & goes through a relapse it can make home feel like a hellscape. Strangely a hellscape and a miracle can often be found on the same cross streets here. In this episode we go out on Mardi gras day to see the Mardi gras Indians greet the day in uptown. Mardi gras masking Indians are a part of NOLA past and present that runs too deep for me to try and explain in this video.
